COOKIE SWAP

ESTOY FELIZ
UNA DE LAS COSAS GENIALES QUE ME PERMITÓ HABER CREADO ESTE BLOG ES CONOCER GENTE NUEVA. PARTECITAS DE ELLOS, AL MENOS, A TRAVES DE LO QUE ESCRIBEN EN SUS BLOGS.
HACE UN TIEMPO, NAVEGANDO, DESCUBRÍ LOVE AND OLIVE OIL, Y EN ÉL COOKIE SWAP, LO QUE ME PARECIÓ UNA IDEA DIVERTIDÍSIMA, DE LA QUE QUERÍA FORMAR PARTE.
MI ACERCAMIENTO A LA COCINA ES POR PURO PLACER, PORQUE COMER Y COCINAR SON COSAS QUE DISFRUTO MUCHÍSIMO, Y PORQUE FORMA PARTE DE LA TRADICIÓN DE LA FAMILIA. EN MI CASA SE COCINA DESDE EL PRINCIPIO DE LOS TIEMPOS: BISABUELOS, ABUELOS, BISABUELAS, ABUELAS, TIAS, TIOS, MADRE, PADRE,
HERMANO. . .  TODOS, TODOS, TODOS. MIS RECUERDOS DE LOS VERANOS CON LA FAMILIA UNIDA ESTÁN ASOCIADOS A ALGUNA COMIDA CASERA.
YO LO QUE PREFIERO DE TODO ES LA PANADERÍA, CON LO QUE EL COOKIE SWAP ME PARECIÓ IDEAL. SI NO FUERA POR UN PEQUEÑO DETALLE: CREO QUE NUNCA HABIA HECHO UNA GALLETITA CASERA EN TODÍSIMA MI VIDA
LA COSA ES QUE VI EL POST Y ME PARECIÓ DIVERTIDO PERO AL SER ARGENTINA YO NO CREÍA POSIBLE PODER PARTICPAR. POR SUERTE JULIANA DE HORNEANDO ALGO VIO MI GRUÑIDO CIBERNÉTICO (EL QUE HABIA DEJADO COMO COMENTARIO EN LOVE AND OLIVE OIL) Y SE PUSO EN CONTACTO CONMIGO PORQUE YA ERAMOS VARIAS LAS ARGENTINAS QUE QUERÍAMOS PARTICIPAR . . .
LA CUESTIÓN ES QUE UNA SEMANA MAS TARDE HABÍAMOS VARIAS ARGENTINAS CALENTANDO MOTORES PARA ESTE INTERCAMBIO GALLETERIL.

LUEGO DE VARIOS MAILS ME LLEGARON MIS MATCHES:
FLOR, DE WWW.FLANDEFLORES.BLOGSPOT.COM
PAULA, DE WWW.BEEMYCHEF.BLOGSPOT.COM

JULIANA, DE WWW.HORNEANDOALGO.BLOGSPOT.COM

OK. SÍ. SOY UNA CHANTA. . . ESTAS MUJERES COCINAN EN SERIO, SON GROSAS COCINERAS Y SE NOTA EN TODAS SUS RECETAS, Y YO VOY A MANDARLES COOKIES? CON QUE CARA?

Y LO HICE. . . CON MUCHO AMOR Y UN POCO DE INVESTIGACIÓN BUSQUÉ Y BUSQUÉ RECETAS QUE ME GUTABAN, PREGUNTÉ EN LA FAMILIA, RECOLECTE OPINIONES DE AMIGOS Y LUEGO DE VARIAS HORNEADAS Y PROBAR Y PROBAR COOKIES, LLEGUÉ A UNAS GALLETITAS QUE TITULÉ GALLETITAS RÚSTICAS MULTICEREAL QUE SON UNA MEZCLA DE VARIAS RECETAS QUE TENÍA EN MI CUADERNITO Y UN POQUÍN DE INVENTO DEL MOMENTO

AQUI COMIENZA UNA PRECARIA VERSIÓN EN INGLES
My English is not good but I tried!

I am happy
One of the brilliant things that i could do for starting this blog, is the chance to know new people, or part of them, at least, throw the things they write in their blogs.
A time ago, sailing the internet, I discovered Love and Olive Oil, and Cookie Swap, which is a beautiful idea. And I wanted to form a part.
My approximation to the kitchen is just for pleasure, because to eat and to cook are things that I enjoy very much, and because it is the tradition of my family: grandparents, great-grandmothers, grandmothers, aunts, uncles, mother, father, brother. .  . Everybody cook. My summer’s memories with the family are associated with some homemade food.
What I prefer of everything is the bakery, so the Cookie Swap seemed to me to be ideal. But… I think I have never done a homemade cookie in mi whole life.
The thing is that I saw the post and I wanted to participate, but, as I’m Argentinian I didn’t think I could participate
Thankfully Juliana of Horneando Algo put in contact with me and with other Argentinian bloggers, and we could sing up.

After several e-mails my matches came to me:
Flor, from flandeflores.blogspot.com
Paula, from beemychef.blogspot.com
Juliana, from horneandoalgo.blogspot.com

Ok. Yes. I can’t believe it... these women are really good cooks and their recipes are amazing, and i am going to send them cookies? i am not that good! What am i doing??!!!
But. . .  i did it... with very much love and a bit of investigation i looked and looked for recipes that i wanted to cook, i asked in the family, asked for friends'  opinions and after lots of baking and trying and  cooking, i choose one which i titled Rustic Cookies Multicereal. They are a mixture of recipes that it had in my book and a little of invention.
I present you my Rustic Cookies Multicereal

Ingredients
Integral flour 150 g
Carob flour 50 g
Powder for baking 1 spoon
Salt (1 pinch)
Mixture of oats: almonds, chia and sunflower 100 g
Melted butter 70 g
Integral sugar 70 g
Essence of vanilla
Water 25 cc (approx.)

Preparation
Beat the butter with the sugar, the essence of vanilla and the water to form a cream. You can change the water into coffee and it will works great, too
Place the integral flour, the baking powder, and the carob flour in a bowl together with the salt, and the chopped seeds. Mix with previous preparation up to obtain a soft dough. Wrap, using a film and lead to the cold.
Cut in slices.
Flatten them on a plate. Decorate with a nut on top. Cook in pre heated oven until golden brown. And voila!

I've never seen carob flour - I had to look it up to see what it was, but now I really want to use it in my baking (if I can find it in the states!)

Hi Meesch,
I hope you can find Carob flour. Here we use it a lot in replacement of cacao, because it has similar flavor and is more healthy, and organic.
Where do you live? I have some friends that travel a lot to your country. I could send a box for you. E mail me if you want and I will be happy to send it to you as a present form Argentina.

Juli, no dudo que te van a quedar geniales! Besos, vecina.
